Ayya Seri Bhikkhuni went forth on 4th July 2004. This year is the 20th pabbajja anniversary for Ayya Seri Bhikkhuni (commemorating 20 years as a nun). We would like to remember her teachers: Ajahn Brahmavamso, Ayya Tathaaloka Bhikkhuni and Ayya Vayama Bhikkhuni. She also would like to share merits with her Grandma, her family and all her supporters and friends.
Patacara Bhikkhuni Hermitage held a Chanting and Meditation session on 4th July 2024 from 5pm to 6.30pm to celebrate Ayya Seri’s 20 year as a nun.

On Sunday 16 June, 2024, between 12.30pm and 5.30pm, Ayya Seri Bhikkhuni conducted a half-day meditation programme at Patacara Bhikkhuni Hermitage.
In particular, we shared merits with Grandma Ah Ying Kok for her 10th year death anniversary on 15th July 2024.
May Grandma be at peace.

Patacara Bhikkhuni Hermitage celebrated Vesak on Thursday, 23rd May 2024, with a Vesak Meditation Day.
This year, our theme for the day was ‘Recollection of the Buddha – Buddhanussati’.

And the lord said:’ Ananda, these sal-trees have burst forth into an abundance of untimely blossoms, which fell upon the Tathagata’s body, sprinkling it and covering it in homage…. Divine music and song sound from the sky in homage to the Tathagatha. Never before has the Tathagata been so honoured, revered, esteemed, worshipped and adored. And yet, Ananda, whatever monk, nun, male oe female lay-follower dwells practising the Dhamma properly, and perfectly fulfils the Dhamma-way, he or she honours the Tathagata, reveres and esteems him and pays him the supreme homage. Therefore, Ananda, “We will dwell practising the Dhamma properly and perfectly fulfil the Dhamma-way” — this must be your watchword.’…
Ayya Seri Bhikkhuni conducted a hald-day meditation programme on 20th April from 12.30pm to 5.30pm to celebrate the one year anniversary of Patacara Bhikkhuni Hermitage at Samson.
We finished the practice day at 5.00pm and chanted Paritta – the blessings chant, together until 5.30pm.
